Noh is a form of theater developed among nobilities, taking place in the Japanese since the 14th century. A treasure to have well-known Noh performer brothers Udaka lead this lecture series at Murin-an!
This series covers the basic elements of Noh by introducing seasonal themes and their interpretation. This session focuses on the stage. To celebrate the new year, you will enjoy a performance from the “Okina; Old man.” We will also walk through the garden to consider the elements taken in from Japanese garden culture. Let’s discover together the essence of Noh!
