Guided Tour by a Garden Guide
Enjoy an in-depth tour from a trained garden guide of the garden’s scenic points, history, and more.

Gardener Guided Tour
Enjoy an authentic tour from Murin-an’s head gardener.
Tours of up to 10 people are available. Consultation required for parties exceeding 10 people.

Hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday 10AM-4PM (last tour starts at 3PM). Please request a one-hour time slot.

Moss Garden Creation with a Garden Guide
“Learn from a garden guide about the spatial composition of Murin-an, a modern Japanese garden masterpiece. How is its “”borrowed scenery”” created? How does the garden make use of its topography’s slope? What makes its water stream feel so vivid? Get the answers to these and other questions on a guided tour of Murin-an’s garden.
Then, challenge yourself to create your own “”mini Murin-an”” using the same moss species that grow in Murin-an’s garden. Choose one of four areas that condense the garden’s main elements and recreate the garden as though you were its creator.
After you’re done, you can use the moss from your garden to make your own mossarium to take home with you.
At the end of your tour, enjoy some matcha green tea and Japanese sweets as you gaze at the beautiful garden and your beautiful mossarium!

Moss Gardening Experience (Universal compatibility)
At our facility, we offer universal design features so that visually impaired individuals can also enjoy the moss garden creation experience. A guided tour of the garden for the visually impaired, featuring a hands-on moss garden creation experience.
Explore the garden with a guide and gain an easy-to-understand introduction while experiencing the Japanese garden firsthand. By utilizing three-dimensional printing and 3D models for explanations, we provide thorough and easy-to-understand guidance that includes allowing visually impaired individuals to touch the exhibits.
The session lasts 150 minutes, which is longer than usual, but it is designed to be more relaxed than standard programs.After deepening your understanding of Murin-an and Japanese gardens, experience creating a moss garden. After the lesson, enjoy tea and sweets while admiring your beautiful garden.

Tea Ceremony Experience
Experience an authentic matcha tea ceremony inside the garden’s teahouse. Instruction on tea ceremony etiquette is, of course, included in this event.
It also comes with a guided explanation of Murin-an from the viewpoint of the world ot tea.
