カキツバタの芽が出始めました。(see below for English)

5月に藍色の鮮やかな花が見られるカキツバタの芽が顔を出し始めました。緩やかな流れの中で少しずつその成長が窺え、4月にさしかかれば黄緑色の明るい平らな葉が繁るようになります。かがんで東山方向を望むと、山麓の湿原であるかの様な情景が見られます。

Murin-an’s Rabbit Ear Irises, whose brilliant indigo flowers bloom in May, have started to bud. Their growth inside the gentle water stream slowly becomes visible. By April, they are covered in yellow-green leaves that are both bright and flat. Crouch low and look up toward the Higashiyama mountains. You can see a scene like that of a marsh at the foot of a mountain.
