無鄰菴きもの教室-生活の中に文化を！-

1月15日(水）午後、母屋2階にて着物教室を開催いたしました。本日の着付けでは、皆さまさらしを巻いて腰紐1本で楽な着付けの習得をされ、紐1本で着物を着る心地よさをじっかんしていただけました。
お茶を飲みながらの講義では、絹・麻・紙布に触れていただき、その素材の違いを知っていただく良い機会となり、また荻原先生が訪問着として着られていた松の絵柄について、その植物が格調高い樹木である説明もしていただきました。

Murin-an Kimono School
On the afternoon of January 15 (Wed.), we held a kimono wearing class on the second floor of Murin-an’s main house. For this class, students wrapped themselves in a sarashi (bleached cotton cloth) to learn how to easily wear a kimono using just one waist strap and to feel the comfort of wearing a kimono with a single band.
During the lecture, which students listened to while drinking tea, we had them touch silk, hemp, and pulp cloth to provide a good opportunity to learn the differences between these materials. Our instructor Ms. Ogihara also explained about the pine tree pattern on her visiting wear kimono that the pine is considered to be a highly refined tree.
