ウメモドキの実が色付きました。
流れの傍にあるウメモドキの実が、今年もたくさん色付きました。是非足を留めてご覧ください。
一際目立つ鮮やかな赤い実は葉が落ちても果実が暫く残り、それを目当てにシロハラなどの野鳥がやってきます。

Our Japanese Winterberries have ripened. Berries of Japanese Winterberries have become ripe beside the water this year as well. Please come and have a look. These outstanding red berries last for a little while longer after their leaves fall off, and wild birds such as the Pale Thrush come in pursuit of them.

小雨の降る中、芝刈りの作業を行いました。
大地から吸い上げたお水で成長が早かった芝。作業後は稜線がなめらかなラインを描く風景になっています。田園風景を模ったこのエリアは、季節が進むにつれて稲穂の色彩と同じようにゆっくりと変化を遂げていきます。季節の変化を、お越しいただいた際にお楽しみください。

We mowed the lawn under a drizzling rain. The lawn grew quickly by absorbing the water from the earth. After the work was done, there was a landscape with a ridge in the shape of a smooth line. This area is modeled a paddy field.Thus, it is changed colour gradually according to the season. Please enjoy the change in the season whenever you visit.

【お庭スタッフのまなざし】芝刈りの日。今年は芝の伸びが早く例年より芝を刈る回数が多くなっています。やがて芝地は美しく整えられました。
【Gardener’s view】Lawn mowing, once more.
This year the grass grew faster. It needed to be cut more often than usually required to keep it neat. Fresh wild green in impeccable shape.

【お庭スタッフのまなざし】
クチナシの青果実が大きくなりました。

甘い香りの花を咲かせていたクチナシの果実が、お庭の東奥ですくすくと育っております。今は緑色ですが、秋にはオレンジ色に変化していきます。果実の先端が細く伸びていますが、これは萼（ガク）のなごりです。果実の側面には、はっきりしたラインが突き出ていますので、是非じっくり観察してみてください。

Gardenia fruits are growing.

The fruits of gardenia which sweet-scented flowers were blooming are growing quickly in the east area of the garden. There are green now, but it changes to orange in fall. The tip of the fruit stretches narrowly. There are the incense of calyx. On the side of the fruit, a clear line protrudes, so let’s observe.

お庭の野花や苔に潤いを提供しました。

連日の猛暑と、しばらく雨が降らなかったため、お庭の野花や苔に散水しました。水分を吸収した植物の枝葉、苔の茎葉体や葉状体は、みるみるうちに元気になりました。

Providing moisture to the garden ‘s wildflowers and mosses.
Due to the summer heat and lack of rainfall, we watered the garden’s wildflowers and mosses. Within minutes the plants’ leaves and leafy body of the mosses became visibly more energetic.

しばらく厳しい暑さが続きますが、無鄰菴庭園の奥に進んでいくと、滝の落ちる音や流れの水面を揺らすアメンボやトンボたちの姿にいっときの涼を感じます。夏の朝は7時半から開けております。暑い中ではございますが、無鄰菴に足を運んでくださると幸いです。
