無鄰菴茶道教室の「初釜生徒茶会」

1月12日（日）、お茶室にて終日「初釜生徒茶会」を開催いたしました。
日頃のお稽古の成果を披露する場であったため、皆さまはこの会の開始前まで手ほどきを受けながら、手水鉢で手を清める所から茶会がスタート。
夕方の終了時には張りつめていたご自身の緊張がほぐれ、半東のお役目を終えられた方は安堵の表情がこぼれる感じがしました。
「日ごろの成果が良い経験となり、この場でギクシャクしながらも全てをやり終えました」「経験を積むことで上達されていく様子が分かりました。皆様と一緒に成長させて頂けること、ありがとうございます」といったコメントを頂きました。

On January 12 (Sun.), we held an all-day New Year’s (“Hatsugama”) tea ceremony. As this was an occasion for displaying the fruits of our lessons, each of our participants received instruction prior to the tea ceremony, which began by purifying our hands with the water basin.
By the end of the ceremony in the evening, you could feel how the host’s assistant (or “hanto”) released the tension from his body to allow an expression of relief to spread over his face.
